Here is 497 pausing at Osier at lunch in 1997.

Here is 497 passing the water tower in Chama.

I caught 497 in the post season in 1992 pushing rotary snow plow OY, water car 0471, and pulling caboose 05635 through "The Narrows".

As she pause as the crew checked the bearings (I believe) on OY, I had an opportunity to get some high angle detail shots of 497, OY, and 0471.

Here is the rear deck of 497's tender.

Here is another shot of the rear deck of 497's tender.

Here is a shot of 497's brakeman's shanty or "dog house". I like the coal on the roof.

Here is a shot of 497's cab roof.

Here is a shot of 497's generator running and the safety valves popping.

Here is a shot of 497's pilot coupled to 0471.

This photo could be put in "The Narrows section" but I had no full view of 497 here.

Here is a shot of 497's headlight and white flags.

Here is a shot of 497's sand box. I know most of us call it a "sand dome", but the only real dome on a steam locomotive is the steam dome where the steam is separated from the boiling water.

Here is a shot of 497's steam dome.

Here is a shot of 497's bell.

Here is a shot of 497's smoke stack and the cinder catcher the C&TS uses.
