Hi folks.

Thanks for coming by.

I have had to make the unfortunate decision to suspend CD/DVD sales.

At this time, I do not know of this will be permanent.

Basically, in the fall of 2010, several adverse items occurred (see the end of this page for some of it). I have been trying to recover and have been unsuccessful. I still have holes and other programming problems (missing master CDs or missing programming files). To reconstitute this, it would take still more months and I do need cash flow to keep from becoming homeless.

I offered one fellow in the PA my CDs for sale on his site so the info would not be lost and for a modest commission (I thought). He eventually took many of my scans and threw away my programs, claimed they were his, placed them in PDF, and would not pay anything for them. He traded me 8 CDs he had scanned for some 100-150 I had sent him. I had permission from the current copyright owner to scan and offer these CDs, he did not go through the effort to do so.

I was working with one fellow in Australia to try to keep thinks going, but there are so many bugs and errors in my data that I can not keep my end of the bargain.

If you have problems with CDs not working or scans missing, I will continue to support you. If you want something I might have, I will look and see what I've got and see if we can work something out.

I am concentrating on items that I can make multiple sales on. For instance how many of you would be purchasing 3-4 of the same box car kits vs purchasing 3-4 of the same December 1955 Official Railway Guide CD/DVD?

I thank all of you for your support over the years. I need to be self-supporting - Mom is 81 and has cancer - her Social Security check is all that stands between me and homelessness.

As one more complication, I had a brain tumor (non-cancerous) removed in 2001. The correct post-operation way to handle this was the same as for a cancerous tumor. Recently (2011), I found out that newer research (starting in 2005) has shown this approach incorrect. No one is to blame, but the results are that without health insurance, I did not get the proper health care to get this taken care of (treatment for depression is incorrect). In one case a person felt better when she took something for allergies. I am trying my own treatment. Her accidental solution is helping out my apathy some (successful since I found out at Christmas).

CD FAQ

I have been working hard to prevent the shipping and communications messes that have occurred over the past several months (since October 2010). Basically, I had computer failure due to a nearby lightening strike last October that caused computer parts to start failing one at a time and I could not keep the computer running. Through the bad cold in December-February, the house never exceeded 60 degrees and emails to and from me did not always get through.

The state of Georgia has passed a law repealing annual taxes on inventory. So I have started keeping an inventory of my products instead of programming on demand.

In middle January, I lost the hard drive I keep the master programming files. I have been slowly uploading the files from the master CDs I had off-site and having to recreate the programs and macros. (some 270-odd CDs total)

Ebay has not been helpful at this time. I wanted to add a short message saying about my problems to all by listings so the buyer could make an informed buying decision. There was no way to do that and I tried changing several listings at once to add the message and was not able to get anywhere.

Ebay already charges 40% fees on this small a purchase price. Additionally, they have been giving full refunds to buyers I have sent product to. I only make about $3,000 per year on this business and I am currently unemployed/self-employed. Ebay has a strong anti-seller bias (sellers can only give positive feedback for example). I have cut ties with eBay.

As always, any CD goes bad in the future, just let me know - I stand by my products. I will upload files for free to you. CDs as always are $5.00 for a replacement.

If at any time you find missing pages or need higher DPI scans of pages, I will work with you on that. Missing pages if sent by email are free. Higher density scans of existing scans - upload $2.00 unless if I have to go to off-site storage ($5.00). If a CD is desired, the cost is $7.00.

Thank you for your patience and business.
